National Museum of the United States Air Force

Located at the historic Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where the Wright Brothers tested their first flights, this museum is the world's oldest military aviation museum and offers a visitors a chance to explore the history of flight through a variety of exhibits, unique aircraft displays, a 3-D movie theatre, and a gift shop, and also hosts a range of special events throughout the year.

Air Force Museum Theatre

Check out the new digital 3D theatre offering a giant screen plus state-of-the-art surround sound. The theatre shows a variety of films related to aviation, including documentaries and popular Hollywood movies like Top Gun.

Air Force Museum Exhibits

The museum is home to several galleries offering exhibits about military aviation history, the Wright Brothers, and a collection of historical objects, including over 350 different missiles, engines, aircraft, and aerospace vehicles.

    The base is named after the Wright Brothers, who used much of the land around the base for their flight testing grounds.
